Honeywood Museum is a beautiful old house facing the picturesque Carshalton Ponds. This historic building and its water features is one of the most interesting and attractive areas in Great London.
The family-friendly museum has recently received an investment from the HLF and has had a complete refurbishment done. This house museum has managed to beautifully restored details in the house from the period it was built including the Edwardian Billiards Room, Drawing Room and Bathroom.
They have exhibitions throughout the year that express the mesmerizing history of the house and the people who lived there. They also have an on-going diary of events which illuminate the history of Carshalton and the Borough of Sutton.

Also in the house is a delightful collection of Edwardian toys on display in the Childhood Room, a tea room and a shop with a wide range of publications and unusual gifts.
To get to Honeywood Museum from Croydon Park Hotel, walk to the East Croydon train stop and hop on the tram to Wimbledon, disembarking at Mitcham Junction Tram Stop. From here walk 1 minute to Mitcham Junction Station (Stop A) bus stop and get on the 127 to Purley disembarking at Carshalton Ponds (Stop C) and walking just 2 minutes to Honeywood Museum. Total travelling time is approx. 40mins.
