South London's largest art's venue
The Fairfield Halls, located just 7 minutes walk from the hotel, is South London's largest art's venue. For five hundred and fifty years the Fair Field was the venue for the annual Croydon Fair, a gathering of acrobats, musicians and travelling circuses amongst other entertainment.
The halls were built in 1962 on the site of Croydon's historical Fair Field and opened by Her Majesty Elizabeth The Queen Mother. In 2019 the Halls reopened following a multi-million-pound redevelopement and houses a playhouse, concert hall, studio spaces, rehearsal rooms, restaurants, bars and business lounge.
The venue offers a wide range of performances and facilities including classical performances, concerts, comedy, drama, community shows, conferences, weddings and events. The Concert Hall is internationally recognised for its acoustic design and is also home to the London Mozart Players
as its resident Orchestra.
