Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Queen Olympic Park in London is a sporting complex that was built for the London 2012 summer Olympics. It takes about an hour to get from Croydon Park Hotel to Olympic Park; go to East Croydon Station and take the Southern towards London Bridge, walk to London Bridge Station and take the Jubilee towards Stratford. From there it’s a 7 minute walk.
There is so much to do and see in Queen Olympic Park; from unique parklands, waterways, shopping destinations, attractions, sports and fitness facilities as well as festivals and concerts throughout the year.
If you’re interested in sports, then take a swim in the world’s most iconic public swimming pool (50 metres in length), work out in the gym in the Copper Box Arena or take a trip to the Lee Valley VeloPark and cycle around the circuit or explore the mountain bike trail. There are many more activities available from handball, squash, badminton courts and more and plenty of activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
There is a huge amount of family friendly activities in the park including reliving the spirit of the 2012 London Olympics through the 2012 trail, check out the Tumbling Bay in the park which is home to interactive music rooms, climbing walls or more or simply explore your surroundings on a pedalo!
